God’s vision for the church is as a light to the nations. One body, working in the communities God has placed us to shine God’s light of mercy & grace. As we look at this community we can identify many areas where we are called to shine that light. Join the pastors and special guests throughout the month of February as we look deeper into the changing face of our community.

Making Sense of The Cross:
Sundays Feb. 26-April 1 at 10:10am in the Magi Room
Lent is that time when Christians around the world stop and reflect on the amazing power of the cross of Jesus Christ. Would it surprise you to know that when we do so, there are many different ways we look at the cross? For some, the cross signifies an instrument of torture used to satisfy an angry God. For others, the cross is the ultimate example of God’s love for the world. Neither of these understandings are wrong–but can they both be right? What about the other understandings of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross?
Join Pastors Dee, Steve and Janine as we explore Dr. David Lose’s book, Making Sense of the Cross. Dr. Lose is a professor of Biblical Preaching at Luther Seminary.
